Meet Doctor Paul Romano

Dr. Paul R Romano received his undergraduate education at the University of Rochester.  He then attended dental school at New York University School of Dentistry and received his Specialty Training in Periodontics at Eastman Institute of Oral Health in June 1997. In conjunction with his clinical training, Dr. Romano received a Master’s Degree from the University of Rochester School of Dental Medicine for research related to bone and cartilage biology.  In addition to his position as a principal partner at Periodontal Centers of Rochester, he is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dentistry at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health.

Dr. Romano is currently a member of the Monroe County Dental Society, the Seventh District Dental Society, the New York State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.  He is a past president of the Monroe County Dental Society, a past president of the Seventh District Dental Society and was a delegate to the New York State Dental Association House of Delegates.  He served as the Chairman of the Seventh District Dental Society Ethics Committee.  In 2016, Dr. Romano received the prestigious George D. Greenwood Award from the Seventh District Dental Society.

Dr. Romano is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, where he served on the Committee on Education and the Research Submissions Subcommittee.  He is a member of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.  He is past president of the Upper New York State Society of Periodontists. 

Dr. Romano lives in Penfield, NY with his wife Michele.  They have two children: Eric, who lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Jaclyn; and Mandy, who lives in Brooklyn, NY.
